The animation shows the results of numeric calculations for a UniRex® Rotor-Stator System: Diameter: 150mm, rotation speed: 3,000 min –1, Agent: Water at 25 ºC, Reynold’s number: 830.00
   

Flow speed rate of UniRex® as vector plot: Red vectors show high speed, blue vectors show lower speed. The speeds for a level are indicated on the half level of stator cogs. The stator is masked out in order to make the gap between rotor and stator visible. Here it is clearly evident that the specially high speeds are responsible for the excellent dispersion in UniRex®

   

The image on the left shows shear rates in colour contour plot. Red means high shear rates, blue means small shear rates. High shear rates of UniRex®, based on the big differences of speed, are responsible for the excellent dispersion.

   

Dispersion is a task of UniRex®, mixing something with the other vessel content. The flow area in a vessel is depicted on the image on the left. The vectors indicate the flow direction. The colour and the length indicate additionally the level of the speed. Red indicates high speeds, blue indicates low speeds. The entire content of the vessel is subjected to the flow and thus result in an ideal mixing.
