When processing fluids containing powdery raw materials, the following
problems arise:
edges and crusts
occur at the tank border and inside the agitator shaft
losses on pouring
in the fluid
dust
costly exhaust
devices
risks to health,
pollution
with solvent-based
feeding: powder + oxygen in EX zone 0
These problems are solved by the ibW pilot beam agitator RotoRex
RRS as it sucks the powder or granular material directly into the fluid.
This way, the powder, at first contact with the fluid, is fully moistened
and dispensed. To do this, neither a vacuum receptacle nor a vacuum pump
is necessary. The suction vacuum is generated directly in a high-speed
fluid flow. The powder fluidises and gets into contact with fluid finely
dispersed. Dispersing takes place even during the moistening process.
As a result, agglutination and accumulation of particles is avoided. Powdery
substances can thus be sucked in from any packaging dustless and free
of loss. Furthermore, time and labour saving takes place as the following
working processes are carried out at one fell swoop:
emptying the
packaging
conveying the
powder
dosing
moistening
dispersing and
deagglomeration
